The above statement reflects the true nature of education. Education is not just seeking information or knowledge and acquisition of degrees or certificates. It transforms a biological man to a complete human being.
Heartfelt welcome to Surajmal Saha Mahavidyalaya, Puri, which was established in 1980 in the holy city of Lord Jagannath. It gives me immense pleasure or the launching of the website of our college. Our college is a unique college in many respects with a group of talented teachers and staff who set high standards and expectations for our students. The serene academic atmosphere of the college attracts the students from all around the district, who will become the notable change-makers of the society. Thus we can’t build the future of our youth, but we can build our youth for future. The institute supports the students to fulfill their scholastic as well as non-scholastic domains with all sincerity. As a result, they will come out with flying colours and enter into tertiary education, employment or for active participation in the society. Thus the aim is to make learning enriching and enjoyable experience through a multi-disciplinary approach combining theory and practice in pedagogy. The focus of teaching learning strategy must be or not only what to teach, but also the way how to teach. Further, the college has produced a galaxy of alumni who have occupied a key position in the college development. We leave no stone unturned.
Moreover, I request all the stakeholders of the institution to come forward and cooperate with us for its betterment in general and of the students in particular. I am sure our students will always strive to uphold the dignity of the institution and keep flying high ever.
